Niles, Michigan Artist Steve Sult is selected to exhibit for the 32nd Annual Art & Social Justice show in South Bend, Indiana

Niles, MI – Artist Steve Sult announced today that his work from Art for Public Spaces, mixed digital media collection was selected to exhibit for the 32nd Annual Art & Social Justice show at the Colfax Campus Gallery in South Bend, Indiana. Steve Sult is a popular artist who is known for his dynamic and colorful mixed digital design and illustration.
"I love the work South Bend Heritage Foundation does and I think it’s so important to support local artists,” said Sult after the invitation to the juried exhibit was extended. Sult has made it his mission of highlighting Artistic Activism as a dynamic practice combining the creative power of the arts to move us emotionally with his brand of activism necessary to bring about social change via art for public spaces.
Regarding this show, Sult stated “I am very pleased and gratified to be chosen by the folks at South Bend Heritage Foundation/Colfax Cultural Center for this show. It is nice to be recognized locally with so many talented artists in the area, and also because it is where I live and work."
Sult along with other selected artists will display work beginning the week of June 21, at which time special jury prizes will be awarded for selected works. A reception will be on Friday, July 16, from 7-9 PM at the Colfax Gallery.

Steve opened his doors as Sult Mine Creative Group and built a practice gaining a national and international reputation as a creative director, art director, and illustrating designer, developing new product introduction – successfully contributing to over seventy established and emerging client organizations in diverse industries in the US, South America, South America, China, and Europe. Today, Steve has refined this style created early in his career. His work combines elements of WPA's poster campaigns in the 1930s, pop art, Russian Constructivists art, and decorative art all being applied to poster art. It's like sitting on the fence of graphic design and illustration, blurring the boundary between traditional and commercial art through type and image via prints, notecards, apparel, and posters in public spaces.
